Frequently Asked Questions
Is A2Quest really free?
Yes — completely free, with every feature unlocked. No paywalls, nothing to buy.
What ages and grades is it for?
A2Quest covers Pre-K through Grade 8 math — all of elementary and middle school. The difficulty adapts to your child, so the same app grows with them from first counting to pre-algebra and Olympiad-style problem solving.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. Tap “Try a challenge — no sign-up” on the home page for a quick 5-question test that finds your child’s level. You only sign in (with Google) if you want to save progress and play daily.
How is A2Quest different from school programs like iReady?
School practice tools are built to cover the curriculum floor — long assigned sessions, grade-locked content, and progress measured in minutes spent. A2Quest is built for depth: 15 sharp questions a day that adapt to your child, stretch above grade level toward Olympiad-style thinking, and end before attention fades. Kids come back because they want to protect a streak, not because a teacher assigned it.
My child already finds school math easy. Will this actually challenge them?
That is exactly who A2Quest is for. The engine keeps nudging difficulty up as long as your child is cruising, so a strong Grade 3 kid can be working on Grade 5 reasoning within weeks. Surprise exams and above-grade stretch questions keep even very bright kids in that sweet spot where real growth happens.
How does the adaptive difficulty work?
Each child starts at a level matched by the quick try-out test. As they practise, A2Quest nudges the difficulty up when they’re cruising and eases it down when they’re struggling — keeping things challenging but never discouraging.
What is the AI coach and AI parent insight?
After each quest, a friendly AI note cheers your child on with one small tip. For parents, the dashboard includes an AI-written summary of strengths, focus areas, and how to help — built from your child’s own progress. Both are optional and always kind.
How do I open the parent dashboard?
It’s PIN-protected. The PIN is your child’s birthday as MMDDYYYY followed by their last name in lowercase — e.g. a child born 15 July 2017 named Sharma → 07152017sharma.
Is my child’s data safe?
Yes. We collect only what’s needed to run the app and never sell data.
Can I add more than one child?
Right now each account is for one child, so a second child would use a separate Google sign-in. Family profiles (multiple kids under one login) are on the roadmap.
What are the A2Quest bedtime stories?
Every night there’s a new illustrated picture-book story starring Atharva and Ashi, read aloud with the words lighting up as they’re spoken, and a gentle lesson at the end. The newest stories are free for everyone; sign in free with Google to read the whole library.
Are the science and Write Along videos free?
Yes — every video is free and needs no account. Science Facts answers big kid questions (why is the sky blue? why does your stomach growl?), Write Along teaches one famous author’s writing tricks a day in English and Hindi, and Parenting Tips (in Hindi) is for the grown-ups.
Does it work on iPad and phones?
Yes — A2Quest is built to be responsive with large, kid-friendly touch targets, so it works great on iPad, tablets, and phones as well as computers.
